Colour-accurate digital soft source light that packs a punch.

Cineo Lighting were the first to develop a colour-accurate soft light using remote phosphor technology and the result is the Trucolor HS. Rather than using LEDs to power the light the Trucolor HS incorporates polycarbonate panels coated with phosphor as the light source.

If you need to soften the light further there are a range of options that can add even more flexibility to this already super-useful light. You can even rig two Trucolor HS lights together on a stand or hang them from a ceiling rig.

Robustly constructed from extruded aluminium the Trucolor HS won’t let you down. The long power cable allows the power source to be located away from the light, so that you can adjust the light without returning to the set.

I’ve heard that LEDs are not a very colour accurate lighting source, can you tell me more?

It certainly was the case up until a few years ago that LED fixtures were either not very colour accurate or some LED powered lights produced a spotty effect and didn’t give a smooth field of light. We’re pleased to say that the LEDs used in our fixtures are carefully chosen for their precise colour accuracy and that technologies like remote phosphor have made a huge difference.

But not all LEDs are created equal, and this is why we’re still very choosy about which LED fixtures we include in our Greenkit.

I need a portable fill light, which one should I choose?

Both the Area 48 and the Kino Flo Celeb 200 and 400 run off batteries, so these are a great choice if you need to shoot away from a power source. If you do need extra power you can always hire our Solarpod generator and then you also have the option of using a Trucolor. Let us know if you need more advice.
